A POEM: NOT GOOD ENOUGH..
NOT GOOD ENOUGH...
She once was beautiful;
Her every word was meaningful;
Her touch was so wonderful;
With her your world was colorful;
You felt she was good enough.
Her every word was meaningful;
Her touch was so wonderful;
With her your world was colorful;
You felt she was good enough.
You made your choice, your heart was full;
Played with her beside the pool;
For her cause you'd fight a bull;
Never minded, you played the fool;
Because she was good enough.
Played with her beside the pool;
For her cause you'd fight a bull;
Never minded, you played the fool;
Because she was good enough.
Down the aisle, her joy was full;
The diamond ring, you paid in full;
The crowd is bright;
Happiness at sight;
All for, she seemed good enough.
The diamond ring, you paid in full;
The crowd is bright;
Happiness at sight;
All for, she seemed good enough.
Seconds, minutes and hours have rolled;
Days, weeks and months have strolled;
In less years than imagined;
She's been torn, so your seeds become;
Maybe she's still good enough.
Days, weeks and months have strolled;
In less years than imagined;
She's been torn, so your seeds become;
Maybe she's still good enough.
Time still flies as fireflies;
More wrinkles but less dimples;
She now nags for attention;
To her, so funny are your actions;
She's fading and not good enough.
More wrinkles but less dimples;
She now nags for attention;
To her, so funny are your actions;
She's fading and not good enough.
She's falling apart;
You could help but you seem careless;
She's burning down;
You could but would not save her;
Cos' she is no longer good enough.
You could help but you seem careless;
She's burning down;
You could but would not save her;
Cos' she is no longer good enough.
You've left her in your oven for long;
- She is burnt;
No longer good to behold;
-So you think.
- She is burnt;
No longer good to behold;
-So you think.
Now you want a new cake;
But you still won't throw the burnt one away;
Cos' you're afraid;
Maybe someone who loves burnt cakes may take her away.
But you still won't throw the burnt one away;
Cos' you're afraid;
Maybe someone who loves burnt cakes may take her away.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH...
