A POEM: COATED...

COATED...

"Misunderstanding is never about the surface;
It's about those unsaid, untreated and unhealed wounds;
coated with thick smile and wild laughter".
- Treasure Gift

An entrance of light;
Darkness inside;
A meal of sweet aroma;
Sour in taste.

A blunt blade ;
cutting deeply;
Frozen pepper;
Causing weep.

The sweetness I once smelt;
Now has my heart at melt;
The rainbow to impede my rain;
Has turned pale.

Sugar is lost, I'm left with cane;
Once my balm, now my pain;
Louder tears than lovely melodies;
I still coat my pain with smile.

I need you to understand;
I had a beautiful imagination;
I had my dream of existence;
It wasn't in this manner.

I chose you over all;
But you rated me less than null;
Your glory I upheld;
Mine you trampled.

Was I the wrong one? Of course not;
Was I stubborn to my heart? Oh No!
Were you a wrong choice?
. . .

If you had shown your color;
I'd have noticed it wasn't my favorite;
If you had played your games;
I'd have noticed their veiled pains.

You spree hurt like darts;
Just to seize my glee;
I don't mind breaking my own heart;
Just to set my soul free.

The end of this might take a while;
Cos' soon, there would be a light in this tunnel;
I've skipped the part of you that made me fall;
And I would never look back at all...
