A POEM: NOT ANOTHER SHADOW...

NOT ANOTHER SHADOW...

Kpra, kpra, kpra, fissure in my cranium;
Bla, bla, bla, chronicles from my past;
Scars on my fur;
Cuffs on my wrist;
This is not me;
Just another shadow.

My best step always another misstep;
The best melodies only itches my ears;
My own soul never soars as a kite;
I can't respire, kinda clogged with a tie;
I don't sense myself;
But another shadow.

I go off my mark on a constant;
Do what I abhor like it's alright;
I don't feel pain when they pierce me;
But the blood later drips on my face;
Truly, I'm vanished;
This is another shadow.

I live another's life, like a lost ship;
Misplaced but still sailing;
On a wrong contest, like a bird on land tracks;
Strained to sprint and not soar;
This isn't me;
Yet another shadow.

But today I draw the line;
Exiting this silhouette mood;
Breaking bounds and cutting ties;
Henceforth, I'd exhaust my eagle's might;
Finding happiness, for this is who I am; and,
And not another shadow...
