TAKING THE PRIME SHOT

There's no need to feel you can't get a Prime shot just because you don't have a prime lens.
Here is a trick for you:
*Place your subject on a background with enough depth of field, make sure its really a long depth.
*If you have the 18mm-55mm lens its ok, switch the focus button on the lens to manual focus(MF), this is because auto focus(AF) will not really give you the result you desire at once.
*Zoom up to 55mm then move backwards until your subject falls into the frame you want to capture.
*Now you can toggle the focus rim on your lens until the subject falls into focus, there you are; just press and hold your shutter button.
*You can actually get a better result if you place another object closer to the camera because it would tell that your subject is really far from you.
