FEARLESS (The Poem)

 FEARLESS (The Poem)
When the Lions come; And they turn to fight? Would you lose your soul? Would you lose your pride? Cos’ the only thing they need to smell is: A drop of FEAR inside you. I might appear to you so senseless; But within me is one, so fearless; I could stay for a minute, breathless; If it’s the only way to flee being lifeless. I get stoned each day but I still raise my head; Push into the waters but I still catch a breath; Nailed on my legs but I still aim a step; Cuffed tightly but I still touch freedom. If fear can only make me the best prisoner; I’d rather stand my ground and as one good warrior; With my kneels on the ground, I bow only to the Almighty; To no other creature will I fall, no matter its gravity. When the Lions come; And they turn to fight? I won’t lose my soul? I won’t lose my pride? Cos’ the only thing they need to smell is missing: There’s no drop of FEAR inside of ME.
